| Hutchinson is the country's largest independent maker of rotors for subfractional-horsepower
motors. The motors have many applications, including household appliances and office
machines. Hutchinson also manufactures precision aluminum-casting products, such as fan
spacers for diesel engines. CFB led two other equity firms in the acquisition of the company by
its new owner and operator, who four years later sold it to the Hawk Group, a NASDAQ-listed
manufacturer.
