We foster company growth—in four different ways:

1. We lead the buyout of a company.
2. We provide capital to a company (or individuals) seeking to buy another company.
3. We provide financial backing to a manager or managers who want to buy a company they've
   been running, or a partner who wants to buy out another partner's equity.
4. We finance a company's expansion or recapitalization.

In every instance, we serve as board-level advisors—but we don't run the company, nor do we take part in its day-to-day operations. We leave that to the people who already know what they're doing. We give them the wherewithal to do it-and then get out of their way.

We typically invest between $500,000 and $5 million in:

• Manufacturers of industrial products or parts;
• Distributors of industrial products or parts;
• Providers of business-to-business services.

We don't invest in start-ups, turnarounds, new technologies, biotechnology, real estate, energy,
or financial institutions.
